Kyrie Irving, the point guard for the Dallas Mavericks, and ANTA have developed a new signature logo.
Early this summer, one of the most closely followed sneaker free agency periods in recent memory came to an end. Kyrie Irving, a point guard for the Dallas Mavericks, committed to a five-year apparel and footwear deal with the Chinese company ANTA in June.
Irving becomes the Chief Creative Officer of ANTA Basketball as part of the sneaker contract, which also includes a signature shoe collection. The outspoken point guard recently traveled to China to advertise his new business venture and pay a visit to the company’s Xiamen headquarters.
The NBA All-Star used the trip to debut his new signature logo in addition to visiting with fans, manufacturing workers, and ANTA leadership. Basketball enthusiasts and sneakerheads first saw the emblem on a big outdoor mural.
The design is not all that unlike from Irving’s iconic Nike emblem, which he wore with the American company for over ten years. We can make out a “K” and the number “11,” which will be Irving’s new uniform number for the 2023–24 NBA season.
Naturally, Irving’s signature shoe line with Nike was discontinued in November 2022 as a result of the NBA All-Star’s contentious remarks, which were viewed as antisemitic. The two partners formally split up the next month, and Irving played the rest of the season in Nike sneakers with no visible marking.
Irving doesn’t currently have a new range of signature sneakers. To begin the 2017 NBA season, he is anticipated to don the ANTA Shock Wave 5. For updates on this article as well as all the latest sports footwear news, fans can bookmark FanNationKicks.com.
