Zaha Hadid Architects’ (ZHA) project for the 2nd Sejong Cultural Centre is defined by the city’s history and its unyielding optimism for the future, creating an interconnected series of indoor and outdoor public spaces that are encompassed by nature.

The 2nd Sejong Cultural Centre, which connects Yeouido Park to the Han River, is immersed into the park’s natural settings. The park’s organic terraces and reflecting ponds replicate the symbiotic interaction between humans and environment inherent within traditional Korean garden design, providing the local community with new public plazas, gardens, wildflower meadows, and woodland glades.
