Closer look: Denvin Booker flaunts the Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Ukraine’ PE PJ Tucker

Throughout the NBA preseason, Devin Booker has chosen to wear Kobe Protros instead of his first signature silhouette, which will be released later this holiday season. Devin Booker was photographed in the “Ukraine” Nike Kobe 6 PE last night in Portland, a present from former Phoenix Suns colleague and sneaker connoisseur P.J. Tucker.

Tucker ended up presenting his own pair to the latest Nike trademark athlete, according to an image uploaded to Booker’s Instagram story. Booker and Tucker have had a particular bond since Booker’s rookie season, when P.J. served as both a veteran and a big brother role to the then-newly minted guard.

The Player Exclusive colorway has been making the rounds on social media for the past several seasons, with Tucker donning the sunset orange pair as a nod to his time playing professionally in Ukraine. Tucker debuted the prominent jet-black upper and gradient-coated composition in 2021 as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. The passionate colorway has been passed down to the next generation of NBA sneakerheads nearly three years later.

The aforementioned colorway is unlikely to receive a wider release anytime soon. Meanwhile, comprehensive images of the pair may be found below.
