Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns’ forward, is well-known for numerous things.
Durant, who was chosen by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007, has fashioned out an NBA career to remember. Finals champion, regular season and NBA Finals MVP, and countless other honors have already sealed his entrance to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Durant’s name is still etched in NBA history books as one of the most prolific scorers to ever grace the court, but he’s also recognized for his trash-talking ability.
At least, that’s what Patrick Beverley, who knows a thing or two about that element of the game, says. Throughout a game, Beverley thrives on being a bother and getting under his opponent’s skin.
Beverley recently appeared on GQ Sports’ “Actually Me” section, in which he answered a few questions from fans all around the internet.
He was asked who the biggest trash talkers in the NBA are in the first minute of the video:
“Definitely Draymond [Green].” KD [Kevin Durant] without a doubt. Luka Doncic, keep it low-key. “I’m as low-key as hell.”I’m sure I’m up there somewhere. Russell Westbrook, Russ? That’s Russ up there. “Nice little five.”
The two parties have certainly worked together before:
Durant is in his 17th professional season and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. With Devin Booker and Bradley Beal in the starting lineup, the Valley has high hopes for a franchise-first NBA championship.
Time will tell if that happens, but Durant will undoubtedly be conversing with opponents along the way.
