Lillard scores 14 points in his Milwaukee debut as the Bucks defeat the Lakers

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 16 points, Damian Lillard added 14, and the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-97 on Sunday night.

Lillard completed 3-for-10 from the field, including 2 for 7 from 3-point range, as part of a three-team blockbuster trade that moved him from Portland to Milwaukee. Lillard’s night came to an end with 4:41 remaining in the third quarter. He was on the field for 22 minutes. Antetokounmpo played 15 minutes and shot 7 for 10.

In 19 minutes, Anthony Davis scored 16 points for Los Angeles. Davis added seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks to his stat line.LeBron James did not participate.

THUNDER 115, HORNETS 117

P.J. Washington scored 31 points on 13 of 18 shooting, and Terry Rozier added 19 as host Charlotte defeated Oklahoma City.

LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 16 points on 52.3% shooting.

Oklahoma City, which did not play its starters, was led by Jaylen Williams (18 points) and Aaron Wiggins (16 points).

TAIPANS 93, RAPTORS 134

Scottie Barnes had 14 points, Chris Boucher had 12, and Pascal Siakam had 12 as Toronto defeated the Cairns Taipans of Australia.

The Raptors were led by Javon Freeman-Liberty, who scored 15 points.

Patrick Miller led the Taipans with 22 points.

Miami defeated Memphis thanks to Tyler Herro’s 30 points and Bam Adebayo’s 26 points.

Herro shot 11-for-19 from the field, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc. Adebayo went 12 for 20 while blocking four shots.Jimmy Butler did not suit up for the Heat.
