Roots of Rui Hachimura – Air Jordan 34 PE ‘Heritage’ Represents the Japanese-African

Jordan Brand has released another sneaker honoring a Jordan member’s cultural heritage. The latest Air Jordan 34 celebrates Rui Hachimura’s unique cultural history and welcomes his Japanese-African roots. Let’s take a peek at the Air Jordan 34 “Heritage” PE.

The Washington Wizards rookie small forward Rui Hachimura is the newest member of the Jordan family. He is the first Japanese-born basketball player to be drafted in the first round. That’s why we find African designs on the left side of the sneaker and Japanese-inspired elements on the right side.

“Japan has its own culture, colours, materials and prints, just like Africa,” Hachimura said. “The right shoe has distinct characteristics, and the upper material has the feel of Japanese paper or Washi.” My mum designed the logo. The left shoe features vivid, bold, and well-composed Benin-inspired colors and designs.

When and where will the Air Jordan 34 PE “Heritage” be available?

The Air Jordan 34 PE “Heritage” will be available on August 8th, but exclusively in Japan. As a result, we can only get the sneakers through reseller networks such as StockX.
