Jayson Tatum presented his first signature shoe ahead of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday.

On Sunday morning, the Celtics player shared the Jordan Tatum 1 in an Instagram post with a sequence of photographs of him and his son, Deuce, revealing and wearing the shoes.

Jordan Brand will release four different colorways of the shoe. The “Zoo” colorway is darker, with the majority of the shoe being black and a darker shade of red. The “St. Louis” colorway is lighter in tone, with the majority of the shoe being white with blue outline. The “Barbershop” colorway is predominantly grey with black accents on the heel and shoelaces. The “Pink Lemonade” colorway is exactly what it sounds like: a mostly pink sneaker with specks of lighter blue and green.

Tatum interprets each colorway differently. The “Zoo” hue is called after his son’s favorite location to visit, the zoo. The “St. Louis” hue pays homage to his hometown and contains the St. Louis Cardinals’ colors. Tatum’s “unwavering confidence” after receiving a haircut inspired the “Barbershop” colorway, while one of his favorite drinks inspired the “Pink Lemonade” hue.

According to Jordan Brand, Tatum desired a shoe that felt more attached to his foot.

“I want people to feel like they can connect to me,” Tatum stated in a statement about his first branded shoe. “I remember going into the store as a kid and looking for the signature shoes of my favorite players.” I felt like I was in rhythm and closer to them the instant I saw the sneaker or put it on. So I want this sneaker to serve as a link between my followers and myself, bringing us closer together.”

Tatum, who signed with Jordan Brand in 2019, has been teasing the release of his first signature shoe, which generally only a dozen or so NBA players have, for over two years.

Many people on the internet mocked Tatum’s shoe after photographs of it leaked in January. Tatum, on the other hand, said that the images of his shoe were not genuine at the time.

It’s unclear when Tatum will debut his signature shoe on the court, but most players do it at a high-profile event, and Sunday’s All-Star Game would surely fit the bill.

The Jordan Tatum 1 will be available for purchase in a few months. On April 7, Nike and select Jordan stores will release the shoe in all four hues for $120.
