Lakers & NBA fans arguing on LeBron James’ embarrassing fall on Reggie Jackson’ shot fake

The Los Angeles Lakers’ 2023-24 season began against the Denver Nuggets. Denver started fast, but the Lakers are still in the game. The Lakers-Nuggets rivalry dates back to the 2023 Western Conference Finals, when Los Angeles was swept in four games. The drama appears to be far from done, as seen by a recent highlight play in which LeBron James falls for Reggie Jackson’s shot fake.

LeBron James looks at Reggie Jackson after being faked out as the Lakers take on the Nuggets.

Was LeBron James faked? Or did he just trip over a shoe?

Jamal Murray drove down the baseline before finding Reggie Jackson in the corner with a pass. Jackson pumped his fist and James landed on the deck.

According to the TV camera, James appears to have been cheated. However, a closer look on the live broadcast revealed that James had really trodden on Jackson’s sneaker. As a result, he lost his balance and fell backwards. However, in the view of Denver supporters, LeBron’s ankles were broken.

Highlights from this thrilling Western Conference Finals matchup continue to pour in. The Lakers were down by nine points at halftime, but there had been some outstanding individual performances. Anthony Davis led the way with 17 points, while LeBron James finished with 10 points, two assists, and five rebounds.

Los Angeles will need to improve on defense if they are to keep Denver at bay. Furthermore, the Nuggets shot 38.7% on three-pointers, compared to 30% for the Lakers. If the Lakers can hit more long-range shots, they may be able to close the gap.

Nikola Jokic, of course, leads Denver with 19 points. As the second half of the war approaches in the Mile High City, it appears to be a battle of the titans. Perhaps Reggie Jackon’s move on LeBron will rouse the beast and spark a run in Los Angeles.
