Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, has stated that he would have lost his job if it hadn’t been for Sergio Ramos.
Ancelotti is preparing Los Blancos for Saturday’s LaLiga match against the Sevilla defensive.
Ramos was an important player of Real Madrid’s first team between 2013 and 2015.
In their 2014 Champions League final win over Atletico Madrid, the defender equalized in the 93rd minute.
“I’d love to see [Ramos] and say hello,” Ancelotti remarked at a news conference on Friday. I have fond memories of all the players I’ve had, but he has a particular place in my heart.
“I’m here today because of Sergio Ramos.” I probably wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t scored in the [Champions League] final. Everyone loves him for it, and for everything he has done for our club. He’ll definitely contribute. Let’s hope he doesn’t score, but if he does, he can [celebrate] as he pleases!”
