LIVE television captured LeBron James’s face as Denver Nuggets supporters chanted a rude chant.
On Tuesday, James and the Lakers were defeated 119-107 by the Denver Nuggets in their first NBA game of the 2023-24 season.
Before their home game, the Nuggets debuted their 2022-23 championship rings.
They swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals before defeating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals in five games.
And Denver’s home crowd was especially raucous for the game versus Los Angeles.
The Nuggets were ahead late in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night.
The fans hurled insults at the Los Angeles Lakers as small forward Cam Reddish attempted free throws.
“Who is your father?” “Who’s your daddy?” exclaimed Nuggets fans.
The cameras on TNT then focused on LeBron, who appeared emotionless on the bench.
NBA fans were taken aback by Denver’s shout for the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Love this!” wrote one.
“That’s just brutal,” said another.
“It’s so disrespectful,” said a third.
Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets had a triple-double with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.
In the loss, James had 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
