As NBA All-Star Luka Doncic illustrated this past Christmas, a bespoke first-generation Chevy Camaro is a wonderful way to make an appearance.
Doncic arrived at the American Airlines Center in style before his latest game against the Los Angeles Lakers, driving a stunning Chevy Camaro. Even at 6-foot-7, the Dallas Mavericks point guard had no trouble folding out of the custom muscle car, coming on the scene dressed in cowboy boots, a Stetson-style hat, and a bolo tie, looking the part for the Texas game.
Doncic’s first-generation Chevy Camaro is finished in a beautiful blue hue, with polished chrome exterior detailing and a set of polished aftermarket wheels to boot. The wheels are wrapped in Nitto rubber and have a multi-spoke design and polished lip, providing a wonderful splash of flare to the look. The interior of the NBA star’s Chevy Camaro appears to be blue as well.
The first-generation Chevy Camaro debuted in September 1966 and was produced for the 1967 through 1969 model years, with the subsequent second-generation Chevy Camaro arriving in February 1970 for the 1970 model year. The first-generation Chevy Camaro was built on the GM F-body chassis and was available as a two-door coupe or a convertible. Customers may choose from a range of powertrains, including a 3.8L inline six-cylinder as the base engine and a bevy of V8 alternatives up to 396 cubic inches.
The Mavericks went on to defeat the Lakers, scoring 124 points to the Lakers’ 115. Doncic contributed 32 points to the Mavericks’ victory.
