Liverpool’s fantastic start to the season continued last night with another fine win in the Europa League against Toulouse.
The Reds were ruthless, scoring five goals against the French. All five goals were scored by separate players, with Mo Salah putting the cherry on top late in the game.
Salah has been in excellent form this season, returning to his former self. In an interview with TNT Sports last night, former Red Joe Cole revealed he enjoys watching Salah.
Mo Salah has left a lasting impression on Joe Cole.
Cole was effusive in his admiration for Liverpool and Salah during the post-game program.
Salah, in particular.
“This individual. “I think he’s been one of the best players in the Premier League for the last five or six years, if not the best,” Cole remarked.
“Take a look at his poise. Returning to Darwin Nunez, Mo Salah was another, albeit he wasn’t always as clinical. He knows he needs to elevate his weak foot there. Look at his feet, that’s his body shape, and he didn’t worry. He didn’t swipe at it or snatch it from the ground. He’s the primary man, and I adore watching Mo Salah.”
Salah is already one goal away from reaching double figures for the season.
Liverpool’s talisman strikes once more.
The experts kept repeating it, but there was no way Mo Salah was going to let last night pass him by without scoring a goal.
Salah is simply phenomenal, and there aren’t many better goalkeepers in the world.
Cole’s point about finishing is sound, and his comparison to Nunez, who may struggle in front of goal, makes sense as well.
Everyone at Liverpool can learn from Mo Salah, and when he retires, he will be hailed as one of the best players to ever wear the shirt.
