Gary Neville calls it ‘totally ludicrous’ Antony as Manchester United flops absolutely lose their heads at the conclusion of a City thrashing

In the closing stages of the Manchester derby, ANTONY and Bruno Fernandes lost their minds.

United were humiliated 3-0 by the defending Premier League winners at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils were plainly irritated in the latter phases of the game, especially Anthony and Fernandes.

After being skinned by the Belgian, Antony tried to KICK Jeremy Doku on purpose in the second half stoppage.

Doku anticipated the attempted hack and jumped over the feeble attempt at a challenge.

Antony’s actions irritated the 21-year-old, who wiggled his finger in his face.

Antony reacted aggressively when confronted, slapping Doku’s hand out of his face repeatedly.

He miraculously avoided a red card, with referee Paul Tierney ruling that it was simply a yellow card.

Gary Neville, a former Manchester United defender turned Sky Sports pundit, was perplexed, adding, “That’s absolutely ridiculous, that’s a sending off.”

“Absolutely ridiculous from Antony. It’s embarrassing.”

Just minutes later, after being skinned, United skipper Fernandes tried to take his frustrations out on Doku.

After appealing to the umpire after a blatant foul on Phil Foden, Fernandes demonstrated his own petulance by swiping at Doku.

Erling Haaland’s brace and Foden’s 80th-minute goal condemned United to their FIFTH league defeat of the season.

And club veteran Roy Keane is concerned about his old club’s future under Erik ten Hag’s leadership.

He said: “They’re just toying with United now, they’re a different level.

“It’s almost – I wouldn’t say embarrassing. But I do feel for the United players.

“But listen, they’re short in every aspect.

“Technically, tactically and worringly for me, physically, United look so off it.

“Credit to City, they’re an outstanding team.

“United… where do you start and where do you finish, long way back. A long way back.”
