According to the MadridXtra channel, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez does not want Eduardo Camavinga to play as a left defender again.
Carlo Ancelotti used a 4-3-1-2 system for Real Madrid against Barcelona, with Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Toni Kroos creating a trident in midfield behind Jude Bellingham.
Tchouameni and Kroos struggled to find their feet against Barcelona’s midfield of Fermin Lopez, Ilkay Gundogan, and Gavi, who pushed high and closed off passing routes.
In fact, Tchouameni’s inattention led to Gundogan’s first goal, while Kroos almost surrendered a second goal when the ball was won by Gavi. However, when Luka Modric and Eduardo Camavinga were added, the game shifted for Madrid. Florentino Perez is hesitant to see Camavinga play left-back again after his performance in midfield.
Superiors are pressuring Ancelotti to let Camavinga play in his natural position. On the ball, the 20-year-old is dynamic, and his ability to read the game in defense is possibly second to none on the squad. Camavinga is expected to succeed Casemiro.
