Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders said it’s “really good to see him back” in training.
The Liverpool boss was speaking to the media team at Anfield before of the Reds’ Carabao Cup last-16 tie against Bournemouth.
Doak suffered a muscular injury while playing for Scotland Under-21s earlier this month.
The Liverpool teenager was not included in the squads for the games against Everton, Toulouse, and Nottingham Forest.
However, Lijnders announced on Monday that Doak had returned to training ahead of the Reds’ trip to the south coast.
“Ben Doak trained yesterday [for the] first time,” Lijnders stated.
“How Ben Doak is: full of energy, a big heart, and a constant desire to go.” That’s great to see, and it’s even better to see him back.”
Lijnders did not specify whether the player will be available for Liverpool’s match against the Cherries.
Similarly, according to the Liverpool website, Doak and Conor Bradley “have taken steps forward in their ongoing recoveries from injury.”
Doak is a future Liverpool star, according to TBR.
Doak has burst into the Liverpool first squad this season and, despite being only 17, appears to be a Premier League regular.
Since joining the Reds from Celtic in 2022, he has been one of the club’s star prospects.
Doak has now made eight competitive senior appearances, including two starts, for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The teenager, described as having ‘absolutely outstanding’ qualities by Liverpool legend James Milner, appears to have a bright career ahead of him.
