Stephen Curry’s Otherworldly Performance Leaves Coach Kerr in Awe

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has had a front-row seat to witness almost every Stephen Curry performance over the past decade. However, even for Kerr, who is accustomed to Curry’s regular greatness, there are moments that make him do a double-take.

One such moment occurred during a game against the Houston Rockets. Despite a relatively poor shooting night, Curry explоded in the fourth quarter, hitting four 3-pointers in the final two minutes and leading the Warriors to a 106-95 victory. One of those 3-pointers involved an incredible display of ball-handling and shot-making, leaving Dillon Brooks, a former teammate, in awe.

The performance was so remarkable that Kerr felt cоmpelled to talk to Curry about it, something he rarely does because he has grown accustomed to Curry’s mind-boggling shooting on a nightly basis.

Kerr compared Curry’s consistency and ability to amaze to that of Michael Jordan, whom Kerr played with for four years on the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. Kerr noted that just as people don’t ask about Jordan’s most amazing feats because they became expected, Curry’s nightly brilliance has also become the norm. However, the recent game against the Rockets stood out to Kerr as something otherworldly, with the shooting, flow, and beauty of Curry’s performance leaving a lasting impression.
