McDavid’s fiancée Connor Lauren Kyle Described Her Game Days and How She Becomes Competitive

Along with a few other behind-the-scenes details about what her game days entail when she attends McDavid’s home games, the interior designer shared that information with Narcity.

Early October saw the start of the 2023–2024 NHL season, and Kyle has returned to the stands for several games, including the NHL Heritage Classic in Edmonton.

“Every year, the Oilers give us a box. It’s wonderful that we can sit and mingle with all of the players’ wives and girlfriends, she said. We’re very fortunate.

“I usually run at least 20 minutes late [to the games] coming from work or just trying to get so much stuff done,” Kyle joked.

Kyle frequently posts pictures of herself and the other women she watches the games with on social media.

We wanted to find out who usually cheers on their partners the loudest because it’s a large group.

Kyle remarked, “It used to be Emma Barrie,” before Tyson Barrie’s February 2023 trade to the Nashville Predators.

“It’s probably me now. I’m the most intense person during the playoffs because I’m already very competitive,” she remarked.

“Then a second person I would say maybe Celeste [Desjardins], Leon [Draisaitl’s] girlfriend.”

In light of McDavid’s return to full-time hockey and his travels for away games, Kyle acknowledges that their schedules can become quite busy during the NHL season.

She does, however, add that the couple takes advantage of every opportunity to spend time together, going out to some of their favorite restaurants in Edmonton.

“Both of us are quite busy. We get to spend a lot of quality time together, so the season is full of our favorite moments, Kyle told Narcity.
