Even though Steph Curry is still adding accolades to his already impressive resume, one of his teammates continues to boldly proclaim that he is the best point guard in NBA history.
A reporter questioned Draymond Green after the Warriors defeated the Detroit Pistons 120-109 on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena, mentioning that Stephen Curry was one of the all-time great point guards.
The reporter was abruptly interrupted by Golden State’s star forward, who made it obvious that Curry is on a different level.
“One among? or the all-time best point guard? Yes, I’ll accept that one,” said Green.
Green has expressed his opinion on the subject of whether Curry is the best point guard of all time. After a heated summer debate, he selected his longtime teammate over Magic Johnson, the legendary player of the Los Angeles Lakers, in September.
With his exceptional shooting ability, Curry has won four NBA titles, been the only unanimous MVP in league history, and created an indelible legacy that has altered basketball forever.
As he plays in his 15th NBA season at the age of 35, Curry does not seem to be nearing a decline after a scorching start to the 2023–24 NBA season.
Curry has shot 48.8 percent from beyond the arc and 54.5 percent from the field in eight games, averaging 30.4 points per contest. In addition, he broke his record of seven 3-pointers made in a single game during the 2018–19 NBA season, going on a historic eight-game run with four or more made baskets.
It won’t be just Green who feels strongly that Curry is the best player to have ever played his position if he keeps up this insane rate of dominance for a few more years.
