Riley, his 10-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and Stephen Curry enjoyed a wonderful father-daughter evening together. Stephen Curry is making special time to spend alone with Riley.
The 34-year-old player for the Golden State Warriors paid a visit to Stanford University, the home of his godsister Cameron Brink, along with his 10-year-old daughter Riley, to watch the women’s basketball team play the University of Southern California.
As the NBA player and pre-teen looked on, Brink broke the team record for most blocks in a season.
Viewers who got a glimpse of Riley during the game were astounded by how mature the tween appeared, donning a pink tie-dye hoodie and long braids in her hair.
The NBA player and his spouse Ayesha Curry have two children: Ryan, seven, and Canon, four.
Stephen became emotional in July when he posted on social media to mark Riley’s tenth birthday, writing, “July 19, 2012.” Seeing you grow over the past ten years has been the best of the best! Please, now, stop growing up so quickly. We cherish you .
Additionally, the 10-year-old was surprised by the proud father of three with a new pair of sneakers from his shoe line. Riley was eating in the kitchen when Steph approached her and placed the shoe box on the counter.
“It’s just proper… He wrote, “Curry 10s for the 10-year-old!” as the video’s caption. “Happy Birthday Riley “
As Riley looked at the sneakers, she joked, “I was just trying to eat my tomato ,” surprised by the gift.
The four-time NBA champion discussed his kids with E! News in December during the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards.
Curry, this evening’s honoree, was asked if his kids are “impressed” with him “as other people are.” He replied, “I would hope to say yes but probably for different reasons.” The number of times the ball is put in the basket doesn’t seem to concern them all that much.
“They’ve been to a couple of parades and all that, so they enjoy the festivities of celebrating a championship,” the father of three continued. The best part of being at home, though, is that you’re just Dad.”
