Holiday is only the ninth active player to have accumulated 15,000 points and 5,000 assists

After hitting his ninth point of the game against the New York Knicks on Monday night, Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday joined an elite group of players who have surpassed 15,000 career points. Only 146 other players have ever reached 15K, with only 19 of them still active.

Holiday is also the eighth active player to reach 15,000 points and 5,000 assists, joining LeBron James, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, Kyle Lowry, and Mike Conley.

Holiday’s illustrious career began in the 2009-10 season. Holiday, who was picked in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers, made an immediate impact on the squad, cracking the starting lineup in 53 games.
