Irving and his wife Marlene Wilkerson welcomed their second child together on Tuesday, according to Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash. According to CBSSports.com, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com stated that Irving did not train with the club on Wednesday and may miss Thursday’s preseason game against the Miami Heat due to the birth. It has also been stated that the NBA star will rest for a few days before returning to the floor.

Kyrie Irving Posted Photos On Instagram In August That Had Fans Wondering
The prospect of Wilkerson being pregnant was first revealed by The Blast in August, after Irving uploaded a carousel of photographs on Instagram. Because of Irving’s hand positioning, fans speculated that one of the photos could be a covert pregnancy announcement. And now, less than three months later, it appears that they were correct. Many people commented on the post, assuming there was another baby on the way, stating, “Another one coming kyrie?,” and there were many offers of congratulations. Kaire, the couple’s first child, was born in June 2021. Irving has a 6-year-old daughter, Azurie Elizabeth, with his ex-wife, Andrea Wilson.
While no other information has been released, Irving followers are aware that it may be some time before he posts about the new baby on social media. Kaire was also softly welcomed by the pair. Wilkerson posted a video titled “Our Pregnancy Journey” on YouTube shortly after the baby was delivered. The film showed her pregnancy and some of her waterbirth. Irving’s Instagram followers didn’t see the baby until a few months ago, when he uploaded a carousel of photographs in which he wondered if another baby was on the way.

Irving recently posted a touching photo of him and his daughter Azurie marking the start of his 12th NBA season on Instagram captioned, “My Princess told me, don’t you mess around this year Daddy, everyone will be watching. SZN 12 I love you Azurie Elizabeth️.” The post received more than 2,600 comments of love and support.

Back in June, Wilkerson posted a photo of her and Irving and her pregnant belly from the last pregnancy on Instagram, but there was no mention in the caption that they were expecting again. “14 months postpartum and it’s my favorite journey yet.
