The Golden State Warriors have dropped their last six games, several of which they had a strong chance to win.
Superstar point guard Steph Curry was brutally honest with reporters following Golden State’s overtime loss to the OKC Thunder on Saturday night about the need for the team to turn things around.
“A losing streak like this, there’s urgency for sure,” Curry stated. “You need to address the issue if you lose this many games in a row. During the entire season, you don’t want to adopt a losing mindset. You don’t want to be in the locker room with that stench.”
Curry was brutally honest when he said that a six-game losing streak, regardless of the season’s stage, surely creates a sense of urgency. It may be easy to argue that the season is still early. This is exactly the right mindset, particularly in light of the Warriors’ lackluster performance in the previous campaign.
Golden State is aware that they must improve greatly from their early-season performance to prevent a repeat of last season’s disappointments. This losing streak has made them even less effective. Curry acknowledged this and was forthright in his admission that the issues that have been present during this losing run must be resolved. The Warriors hope to have them fixed shortly.
