Jude Bellingham was named the 2023 Golden Boy award winner earlier this month. The 20-year-old received the accolade for his outstanding achievements for Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, defeating the likes of Jamal Musiala, Alejandro Balde, and Antonio Silva.

Some others, however, felt that Bellingham was an undeserving winner, albeit Isco Alarcon is not one of them. The Real Betis playmaker, who previously played for Real Madrid, believes Bellingham’s achievements for Los Blancos were sufficient to earn him the accolade.

“We’ve all seen how he performs, haven’t we?” He’s the clear winner in everything he does, particularly his goals. He’s also been really decisive. He’s a match-winner for Real Madrid on numerous occasions, and no one deserves it more than him.”

This season, Bellingham has been one of, if not the, top performers in La Liga, though Isco is giving him a run for his money after a stellar start with Betis.
