Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 119-116 from start to finish thanks to Jaylen Brown’s 26 points, which led seven players in double-digit scoring.

With just one turnover, Brown led both sides with eight assists on 10-of-16 field goals (3-of-5 from three).

After leading by as many as 21 points at one point, Boston surged out to a 29-17 lead, but the Bucks mounted a strong comeback in the final quarter. With 20.1 seconds remaining, Milwaukee had a chance to trim the lead to just one point, 115-111, but they were unable to convert a basket.

In the closing seconds, Boston finished with one out via free throws, but Malik Beasley of the Bucks sealed the victory with a game-winning three-pointer.

Brown’s adventures were the main plot of this game from the very beginning, as he scored a decisive slam dunk to start things off:

Throughout the evening, he consistently found his teammates, such as on a few lob passes to Kristaps PorziņĚis and another to Sam Hauser:

His efforts were much required after the Bucks had an incredible fourth quarter in which they scored 37 points and almost managed to exit Boston with a victory. With 28 points, Milwaukee center Brook Lopez topped all scorers; Damian Lillard scored 27, and Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds and 21 points.

But the C’s and Brown made it through.

After shooting only 5-of-17 (0-of-5 from three-point range) and finishing minus-23 in Monday’s 121-118 overtime defeat to the Charlotte Hornets, Brown had a fantastic comeback game.

After a decisive victory over the Bucks, who had won five straight games coming into Wednesday, that contest feels like a distant memory.

Fans and pundits lauded Brown both during and after the game, stating that he was the greatest player on the court for the majority of the evening.
