UPDATE: Arron Gordon has been ruled out (h/t The Denver Gazette’s Vinny Benedetto).
The Denver Nuggets will play the San Antonio Spurs in Colorado on Sunday evening.
They may be without one of their finest players for the game, as starting forward Aaron Gordon is on the injured list.
Gordon has appeared in 16 games this season, averaging 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 48.6% from the field and 22.2% from outside the arc.
The Nuggets are 10-6 in their first 16 games, enough for fifth place in the Western Conference.
They are currently on a two-game losing run, having most recently been defeated by the Houston Rockets by a score of 105-86.
Gordon scored two points, seven rebounds, and two assists in 39 minutes of action, shooting 0/12 from the field and 0/4 from three-point range.
Gordon is in his tenth season in the league (fourth with Denver) and has helped the team win the NBA Championship in 2023.
Following the Spurs, the Nuggets will travel to California on Monday to play Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Spurs are 3-13 in their first 16 games and currently hold the 15th seed in the Western Conference.
They are currently on an 11-game losing run and most recently fell to the Golden State Warriors 118-112.
Following the Nuggets, the Spurs will play the Atlanta Hawks in Texas on Thursday.
