Back-to-back NBA MVP winner Giannis Antetokounmpo has shown to be a deadly scorer on the court as well as in the field.
Before Nashville SC’s League Cup final matchup with Inter Miami and Lionel Messi on Saturday night, minority owner Giannis Antetokounmpo practiced goal-keeping.
After making an investment in the squad in March, Antetokounmpo wowed the fans by completing a long-range shot and imitating Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after scoring.
The 7-foot-tall “Greek Soccer Freak,” who has amassed over 16,000 points in the NBA, made a jumper from roughly midfield. He dashed toward the middle of the field, leaped skyward, and came down hard on his feet. He reignited the celebrations.
Charles, Antetokounmpo’s father, was a professional soccer player in Nigeria.
The Nashville SC is owned by three minority owners: Filip Forsberg of the Nashville Predators, Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans, and actress Reese Witherspoon.
After undergoing surgery on his left knee earlier this summer, Antetokounmpo is recuperating and won’t be playing for Greece in the Basketball World Cup.
