NBA All-Star guard Damian Lillard is hard at work getting ready for Thursday’s NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinal matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers. However, he is also enjoying himself with his teammates while doing it.

During a shootaround the night before their crucial match, “Dame” was spotted laughing with teammate Malik Beasley. The seasoned 33-year-old was performing the “shimmy” following corner threes.

The Bucks and the Pacers square off in a semifinal game at 5:00 p.m. ET at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring Damian Lillard and the team.

Going into the quarterfinals, FanDuel has Milwaukee as the favorite to win the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, with a price of +165, ahead of the LA Lakers (+230), New Orleans Pelicans (+380), and Pacers (+440). Additionally, the Bucks are -4 to defeat Indiana.

The Bucks have won all four of their assignments in East Group B and have not lost since. On Tuesday, they crushed the New York Knicks 146-122 in the quarterfinals to secure their spot in the final four.

Damian Lillard has been leading the way with averages of 29.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds throughout their remarkable run.

With 30.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, fellow All-Star and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is not far behind, giving the Bucks even more of a threat to rival teams.

Although players were initially apprehensive about the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, Damian Lillard stated that things have changed and they have undoubtedly warmed up to the event.

The quality of games as the “tournament within the tournament” progressed is a testament to that, the Milwaukee Bucks All-Star guard said over TNT’s “Inside the NBA” ahead of their quarterfinal game against the New York Knicks on Tuesday:

“’I think it’s growing on everybody a little bit more. In the beginning we didn’t really know what it was, we just knew that money was on the line. Now it’s turned into real entertainment, real competitive basketball. We playing for something,’ said Lillard.”

The Bucks are among the teams left standing, along with the LA Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers. Milwaukee takes on Indiana in one semifinal pairing while the Lakers battle the Pelicans in the other. The games will go down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

This season, the NBA In-Season Tournament is being used for the first time to give the league year more depth. The tournament’s structure is akin to that of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup and in-season European football competitions.

The NBA Cup and $500,000 will be awarded to the tournament winner, along with winning players and head coaches.
