‘The rich get richer!’ – Funny moment After the Bucks get to the playoffs, Giannis Antetokounmpo learns that there is cash up for grabs in an NBA in-season tournament

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the standout player for the Milwaukee Bucks, gave his all in his team’s quarterfinal In-Season Tournament matchup against the New York Knicks, seemingly oblivious that there was money at stake.

Antetokounmpo and the rest of his Bucks teammates got $100,000 for their performance in the 146-122 victory simply by virtue of making it to the semifinals.

When Giannis was questioned about it later by TNT’s Jared Greenberg, he seemed shocked and unaware that he was keeping some of the winnings for himself.

‘Are we getting money now? We got some money?,’ Antetokounmpo asked.

After Greenberg confirmed that he would get the cash prize, Giannis replied, ‘Hey, the rich get richer’.

With 35 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists for a double-double on 15 of 22 shots, Antetokounmpo was the team’s main engine.

Damian Lillard, a teammate, had an equally impressive performance with 28 points and seven assists.

The Knicks’ Julius Randle led the team in scoring for the game with 41 points and 11 made free throws, but the rest of the squad fell short.

With a chance to win the In-Season Tournament championship on the line, the Bucks will now meet the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The winner of the East semifinal between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans advances to face the winner of the West semifinal.
