Tragically, the son of an NBA star had a heart attаck during practice in late July, sending shockwaves through the sports world and sending him to the hospital for two days.

Since Bronny has been back in practice with the Trojans this week, he should be ready to play in Sunday’s game. Late last month, the adolescent received the all-clear to return.

“It’s a big milestone for our family, for sure,” James, 38, told reporters following Thursday night’s Los Angeles Lakers victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. “He has taken another step forward in his basketball career.”

With an air of certainty, the four-time NBA champion expressed his anticipation of the event.

James couldn’t contain his excitement either

The exciteme𝚗t of seeing his son’s career take off has not been hidden from the four-time NBA MVP. In May, after Bronny graduated from high school and committed to play me𝚗’s basketball for USC, James shared with Spectrum SportsNet that it was “one of the best days of my life.”

I want to start by congratulating Bronny on his decision. Everyone in James’s family is very proud of him, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. Since this is the first member in my family to attend university, I feel an extra sense of pride and significance. I obviously did not attend university.

Additionally, he expressed his pride in seeing his son attend college, noting that he is the first member of his family to do so. Feeling really proud, emotional, and filled with joy for his adventure.

There have been whispers that Bronny is getting ready to make his USC debut, and James had even threatened to sit out a Lakers regular season game if it happened to be his son’s first game.

In a recent interview with reporters, James reportedly told NBC 4 that he had warned his teammates that he would have to play in the following game if they were scheduled to play on the same day as them.

Adding, “Family over everything else,” the Lakers star continued. “But I will make sure to watch Bronny’s debut game as soon as he is cleared to play.”

Fortunately, Bronny will not be playing in USC’s match against Long Beach State on Sunday afternoon.

While USC is currently 5-3 without Bronny, head coach Andy Enfield said that he has been performing “extremely well” since returning to class in late August.
