Anta Sports logo of Kyrie IrvingAnta is calling its Kyrie Irving logo the ‘Enlightened Warrior’. Anta explains that the mirrored ‘K’ in the design “symbolizes knowing oneself thus forming harmony.” The reflection also aimed to preserve the allusion to the Nike logo’s number 11, which has been Irving’s shirt number for the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas Mavericks throughout his career (it could also be a reference to a 2), which he has worn for the Mavericks in the past).
Meanwhile, Anta says the four peaks at the top of the logo represent “Speed, Focus, Agility and Strength,” while the outer edges on the bottom stand for “Father and Mother,” and the two sharp points in the bottom-middle represent “Family Roots.” That’s a lot of meaning.
The logo was revealed while Irving is on a tour of China with the brand. To promote the reveal in the US, the brand has hired four artists to paint 11 murals featuring the logo in Newark, New York City, Los Angeles & Dallas.

The logo appears more forceful and angular than Irving’s Nike logo. Many supporters express their approval by tweeting fire emojis, although some claim that Nike’s design was more recognizable and distinct. While some fans claim the design is reminiscent of the WWE wrestler Roman Reigns’ emblem or the hip-hop duo Kottonmouth Kings, others are more drawn to the New York Yankees. It does sound like a metal band or wrestler.
Furthermore, some people don’t seem to be understanding the mirrored letters’ relation to the harmony of self-knowledge. “Kyrie Kirving?” a user on Twitter questioned. “It looks like it should be for someone who goes by #JL11… or a funhouse mirror version of the Yankees logo,” a different person posted.
An early-2019 release of a Kyrie Irving shoe is anticipated from Anta. Even if Irving’s logo doesn’t rank among the greatest sports designs, it will almost certainly sell given his notoriety and popularity.
