Kyrie Irving, a guard with the Dallas Mavericks, is using crutches and a boot on his right foot to preserve his injured heel.Prior to Dallas’ home game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, head coach Jason Kidd gave an update on Irving’s health. Irving’s return has no set schedule.In Friday’s 125–112 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, Irving suffered a heel injury from Dwight Powell falling with his entire body weight on his legs after Irving had tumbled to the floor.Irving left the court with a limp and did not come back to play. Friday night, the original diagnosis was reportedly a bruise. Irving’s right heel contusion was verified by an MRI, the Mavericks said on Saturday. Irving’s comeback date was not specified.It was fresh to Kidd that Irving wore a boot and was on crutches.
