Jusuf Nurkic was protecting Green as the Warriors inbound the ball.
Green flung his arm back, striking Nurkic in the face as they battled for position.
In 17 minutes of action, Green shot 1/3 from the field and finished with two points, two rebounds, and two assists.
According to Slater: “This season, Draymond Green has been ejected three times. turned and gave Jusuf Nurkic a nasty blow to the face. The focus will now shift to tomorrow’s league review.”
Following an altercation on November 14 during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Green was just given a five-game suspension.
Before the game, Green had averaged 10.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game in 14 games while shooting 45.0% from three-point range and 49.5% from the field.
Although he doesn’t score a lot, he is the team’s greatest defender and a leader.
The Warriors, on the other hand, are ranked 11th in the Western Conference after going 10–12 in their first 22 games.
They have a record of 4-6 in their past ten games. On Thursday, they will play the Los Angeles Clippers after the Suns.
As for the Suns, they are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference after going 12-10 in their first 22 games.
