Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations, said today that Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has been suspended indefinitely for striking Jusuf Nurkić, a center for the Phoenix Suns, in the face. This result considers Green’s history of consistently acting in an unsportsmanlike manner.
The event happened on December 12 at Footprint Center, with 8:23 left in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 119-116 loss to the Suns. Green was dismissed after committing a Flagrant Foul 2.
Green will be suspended without notice. Before being able to play again, he will need to fulfill several league and team requirements.
