While Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets isn’t a great lover of all the media attention that comes with being an NBA star, he does like to have some fun in the media from time to time. This was evident throughout Denver’s playoff run last season, when Jokic was frequently spotted fooling about with reporters during postgame press conferences, and it was even more prominent following the championship.
While Jokic does not appear to be the type of player who would be interested in appearing on Porter’s podcast, Porter has purportedly revealed that the reigning Finals MVP will be on his show soon:
Fans should have a lot of fun with this because Jokic is exactly the type of personality that podcast listeners want to hear from. Porter Jr. has lately had several of his current and former colleagues on the show, but it’s difficult to compare anyone to Jokic in terms of fan engagement.
As previously stated, Jokic enjoys having fun with the media, even if it is not his favorite aspect of his work. Bringing some of that personality to Porter Jr.’s show could result in a really entertaining episode, which Nuggets fans should look forward to seeing shortly.
Player podcasts have grown in popularity in recent years, and a Jokic episode should be as excellent as it gets.
