The Golden State Warriors will face the Brooklyn Nets at the Chase Center on Saturday evening.
Steph Curry is the all-time leading three-point shooter in the NBA, and he is now the first player in history to hit 3,500 career three-pointers.
Ray Allen (2,973) and James Harden (2,800) are the two closest players to Curry.
While Curry is 35, he is still one of the league’s top 10 players, so he has plenty of time to make more three-pointers before retiring.
As a result, it’s possible that no one will ever be able to catch Curry.
In 22 games, Curry averaged 28.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 46.0% from the field and 41.3% from three-point range.
However, the Warriors have struggled, going 10-14 in their first 24 games, leaving them as the Western Conference’s 11th seed.
They are 4-6 in their previous ten games and on a three-game losing streak.
Following the Nets, the Warriors will travel to Portland, Oregon, to face the Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Curry is in his 15th NBA season (all with the Warriors) and has career averages of 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in 904 games while shooting 47.5% from the field and 42.7% from three-point range.
Since 2015, he has also led the Warriors to four NBA championships.
