Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry is overjoyed to watch his 11-year-old daughter, Riley, exhibit such passion and talent in sports. Riley has shown a particular interest in volleyball, according to the NBA legend, and her passion and determination are already reminiscent of her father’s own drive on the basketball court.

Curry noted that after introducing his daughters to several sports, Riley discovered her genuine passion in volleyball. Her eagerness to attend practices and her continual dribbling and passing of the ball about the home have demonstrated the youngster’s interest for the sport.

“For the most part, I’ve introduced pretty much every sport to all of them,” Curry told ESPN. “But Riley, she’s super into volleyball right now, and a light bulb went off, actually this year, where she’s excited to go to practice and dribbling or passing the ball around the house and all that type of stuff.”

Riley’s passion for the sport has clearly sparked Curry’s interest, and he is eager to see her achieve her aspirations. He expressed his excitement at seeing in his daughter the same amount of attention and commitment that he sees in his own job.

“To see that light bulb go off and that level of focus, that you see a little bit of yourself in,” he explained. “And trying to encourage that as much as possible.”

Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha, as well as their two older children, Ryan and Canon, are no strangers to sporting talent. Riley’s passion for volleyball, on the other hand, shines out at the time.

Ayesha has been Stephen Curry’s steadfast support both on and off the court throughout his journey. Despite the difficulties of living in the public eye, the pair believes in being real and sharing their experiences with the world.

“It’s sometimes chaotic when you’re moving through the public eye, if you will, and trying to block out some of the crazy noise that comes your way,” Curry said in an interview. “But for the most part, [we’re] very supportive of what each other is doing and our respective careers and how we balance both of those with being present parents and juggling the responsibility of being there for all three of our beautiful kids.”
