When the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Dallas Mavericks, they undoubtedly found their groove. Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane were too much to bear. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving still had a lot of love to share to other NBA stars in spite of their defeat. For this reason, they and Ja Morant had a touching exchange.
When the final buzzer went off, both Mavericks players moved quickly to get close to the wounded Grizzlies guard. Before going inside the dressing rooms, they caught up with each other. They displayed incredible grace by doing this in the face of a difficult defeat.
Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, though, continued to give their all on the court for the Mavericks. Irving led his squad in scoring and rebounds with a strong all-around game. He pulled down eight rebounds and scored 33 points. Doncic was supporting the Mavericks in the same way. The superstar cleaned the glass six times and dropped six dimes for a total of 31 points.
Throughout the remainder of the season, Ja Morant will not be able to participate. That did not, however, deter the Grizzlies from igniting and winning 14 games this season.
Although this was all well and well for the superstar pair, it was insufficient for the team. Of the Mavericks players, only Derrick Jones Jr. and Jaden Hardy scored more than ten points. They collapsed as a result, with Marcus Smart scoring 23 points and Desmond Bane scoring 32.
Though there is plenty to learn from this setback, the moment between these two stars undoubtedly lessens the pain.
