The NBA champion Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets isn’t wasting any time getting back to his winning ways; he’s already found success as a racehorse owner.
Jokic entered two horses in the 60th Ljubicevski Equestrian Games in Pozarevac, Serbia: Amy Del Duomo and Brenno Laumar. Of eight horses, Brenno Laumar emerged victorious, with Amy Del Duomo placing second.
In the summer, Brenno Laumar has won six of the eight races that have taken place.
Amsterdam JMH, another horse from Jokic’s Dream Catcher stable, won first place in a different race yesterday against eight other horses.
Jokic has taken part in several horse races throughout the off-season.
He was spotted in Serbia for horse racing with his Nuggets teammate Aaron Gordon just a month ago.

Nikola Jokic has been transparent about his love of horse racing.
Jokic made a brilliant response when asked in June if he would buy another horse if he won the NBA Finals: “Probably, even if I lose.”
After Denver’s June NBA Finals triumph against the Miami Heat, the MVP of the series stated that he would like to return to Serbia, primarily for horse racing.
Jokic recounted choosing horse racing over basketball in his early adolescence in a 2016 interview with Slam.
“Basketball was always in my life,” he stated. “My two elder brothers were basketball players. They made me fall in love with basketball. Every time, we would play together. However, I eventually began to get involved with horse racing.
“The beauty and grace of horses have captured my heart. For me, it was much like a pastime. I didn’t take it seriously. Furthermore, I wasn’t very serious about basketball. Between the two, I was.
Jokic’s love of horse racing has come full circle, giving his remarkable career a new angle and securing his place as a truly gifted athlete.
