The Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in trading for other teams after a dismal start to the season. This is especially true as the trade deadline of February 8 approaches. The names of those who are and aren’t available seem to be changing, thus the rumors at the moment are contradicting.
The most well-known name that frequently appears is Andrew Wiggins, who is enduring his worst season to date. Wiggins is having difficulty maintaining career lows in 3-point percentage (29.8%) and scoring (11.7 points per game).
But as NBA expert Shams Charania noted, all of the Warriors (17–20) players should be available, except Steph Curry.
Naturally, this presents a dilemma for the Golden State front office. Are Draymond Green and Klay Thompson reasonably priced? They have been a part of the Warriors organization since their draft selection and have contributed significantly to the team’s four titles over the last ten years.
After they hang up their sneakers for good, both players will probably have their jerseys retired because they have reached the status of legends in the Bay Area. Their on-court efforts this season, however, have fallen short of expectations.
Thompson’s scoring prowess has diminished, and he is no longer the dependable perimeter defender he once was. In the meantime, Green’s two bans this season alone have done more harm than good to the squad.
Since Steph Curry is still performing at a high level, the decisions the organization makes before this trade deadline will have a significant impact on whether the Warriors can surround him with players who can help him win another championship.

The Golden State Warriors may attempt to acquire Pascal Siakam through trade.
If the Golden State Warriors wanted to stay competitive, they would have realized by now that they needed to make changes to their roster. Adding a top player to complement Steph Curry is one of the things they need to consider.
Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam has been mentioned as one of the possible targets for the Warriors front staff. Compared to Thompson or Green, Siakam—a two-time All-Star—is having a stronger season.
He is averaging 22.2 points, 5.0 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game this season. In addition, he is one of the league’s most efficient scorers, having made 52.5% of his shots, good for a 31st-place ranking among players this season in field goal percentage.
It will undoubtedly take some of the weight off of Curry to have a dependable scorer like Siakam, and the Warriors may be able to push in the second half of the season. Can they put together a trade package that would satisfy him?
