Manila, Philippines —Klay Thompson of the Golden State and Kevon Looney have arrived in the nation as if the number of NBA players attending the Fiba World Cup in Manila wasn’t enough already.
The Warriors’ NBA champions Thompson and Looney arrived in the Philippines on Thursday to begin the Anta Squad Asia Tour at the Peninsula Manila Hotel.
“This is our first visit to Manila, and I’m excited to explore the area, get to know some sportsmen, and simply have fun,” Thompson remarked.
“Being in a place where basketball is their first love is so cool.”
Following their morning media appearance, the pair will head to SM Megamall to see the brand’s 4×4 tournament and attend a meet & greet in the afternoon.
Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, is also in the nation. He guided Team USA to a perfect 3-0 record in Group C of the World Cup, which is being played at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Golden State duo’s visit served to promote the launch of the latest Anta “KT9” as well.
