Tatum wrote, “Deuce’s dad,” as the photo’s caption.

Deuce, Tatum’s son, was born when he was 19 and has since become a major star for the Celtics and other NBA players. Deuce is shared by Tatum and his ex-girlfriend Toriah Lachell.

In a press conference in June, the NBA player—who gave birth to Deuce in December 2017, just six months after being selected by the Celtics—talked about being a role model for a father and his strong relationship with his kid.

“I believe it was the greatest year of my life—2017—when I was picked. I didn’t have Deuce at the time, but he was born in that year, so that was significant. I recently had a child, so I’m starting this new chapter in my work,” Tatum said.

The Boston Celtics great said, “My mindset was not to sacrifice either. I was going to be the best basketball player and the best father as well as the best.” “There were no instructions or precise methods to follow. It all came down to what was organic.

“I just act in a normal way. I spend every day with him. Since I was 19 when I was drafted, I believe that being able to go through this journey together is similar to us growing up together,” Tatum said. “As he’s gotten older, I’m pursuing my job, and we’re growing up and sharing these moments together. For me, that’s the most awesome aspect.
