Tuesday night in South Philadelphia, the Denver Nuggets fell short against the Sixers, 126-121.
Despite the setback, Nikola Jokić and the group managed to stay upbeat as they went to McGillin’s, the oldest continuously running pub in Philadelphia, in Center City, for some post-match beverages.
Manager Rene Rodriguez said that at around midnight, guard Collin Gillespie, a former standout player for Villanova, entered the pub and asked to push a few tables together for the squad. Gillespie is currently with the Nuggets.
Shortly later, Jokić entered together with a handful of other players and assistant coaches. Since Tuesday is McGillin’s wing night, Jokić and the Nuggets placed an order for fifty wings and a couple of Bud Lights.
