4,361 Assists – Nikola Jokic made NBA history during Knicks Game

The Denver Nuggets will take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Thursday evening.

During the game, Nikola Jokic made NBA history by passing Hall of Famer Ray Allen (4,361) for 96th on the all-time assists list.

Following Allen, Jokic will pass to Calvin Murphy (4,402).

In 44 games, Jokic averaged 26.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 9.1 assists, and 1.1 steals, while shooting 59.0% from the field and 36.2% from three-point range.

The Nuggets are also one of the greatest teams in the league, with a 31-14 record through 45 games.

Most recently, the Nuggets defeated the Indiana Pacers 114-109.

Jokic was excellent in 37 minutes of play, with 31 points, 13 rebounds, ten assists, and one block while shooting 13/19 from the field and 3/4 from three.

Following Thursday’s game against the Knicks, the Nuggets will return home to host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.

Jokic and Embiid have won each of the last two MVP Awards, so the battle is widely anticipated.
