Luka Doncic announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Anamaria Goltes on Friday, posting a sweet picture of him placing the ring on her finger in front of a picturesque backdrop.

Doncic popped the question at Lake Bled in his home country of Slovenia, revealing the exciting news to his 8.3million followers in a joint Instagram post with Goltes.

He left his caption short and sweet, writing out ‘7.7’ – the day’s date – accompanied by a ring emoji and heart emoji.

The couple have known each other since childhood and started dating as teenagers, with Goltes seen in Instagram snaps with her fiancé as far back as 2017.

The Mavericks star received plenty of well wishes from the NBA community in the comments, including LeBron James, who wrote, ‘Congrats brother!’
