Brooklyn Nets
The Nets have recently relocated their annual fan gathering to Brooklyn Bridge Park from their previous locations at Ramapo College (during the New Jersey period) and Barclays Centre (during the beginning of the Brooklyn era), respectively.
So, on Saturday, ‘Practice in the Park’ made use of the breathtaking scenery and many courts to showcase the team’s abilities, with spectators having the option to watch a practice simulation or attempt to copy their favourite players.
Located in the shadow of the city, there was a band, face-painters, dancers, autograph signings, access to players and staff (including Sean Marks), and contests of various types. This was the type of thing that happens in Brooklyn, New York.
Our goal is to participate in the Brooklyn community to the best of our ability, as Joe Harris put it. Once Sean Marks and Kenny Atkinson arrived, it became the centre of attention.
Indeed, the Brooklyn Nets are very much like the 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers, also known as “The Boys of Summer,” in that they both reside, work, and play within the borough.
From the Nets, Barclays Centre, YES Network, fans, players, and even an agent’s Twitter accounts, here’s a taste of what happened on Saturday. Whatever the case may be, I hope you have pleasure in it.
