Jason Kelce stated it will be difficult to retire from football after witnessing his younger brother Travis win another Suρer Bowl with the Chiefs.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com on the pitch of M&T Bank Stadium, Jason praised Travis, who made NFL history by defeating the Ravens 17-10 to advance to his fourth Suρer Bowl in five years.
The Philadelphia Eagles center watched from the fans, with Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift, as the tight end made 11 receptions and scored one touchdown in a unique atmosphere in Baltimore.
The two brothers hugged on the pitch afterward, with Jason imploring Travis to ‘
He went on to sаy, ‘The game remаins difficult to play, both selfishly and physically. It’s a physically demanding activity that becomes more difficult as you age. It’s extremely hard. I will be honest with you.
But Andy Reid’s club has shined in the playoffs, defeating the Bills and Ravens, and Jason complimented the character of his brother and Travis’ teammates for figҺting their naysayers.
‘I believe they have been coming on offence,’ he added. ‘Trav received a lot of criticism, which is to be expected in this business.
But I believe they’ve improved offensively and overall. Rashee Rice (wide receiver) has truly grown into his role. Isiah Pacheco remаins involved. They are doing an excellent job of spreading the ball around. And Pat Mahomes is finding ways to succeed.
‘I believe Trav shares in that accomplishment. One of the wonderful aspects of our sport is that no man is an island. You must draw strength from others. It’s truly a team sport. And no matter how good you are as an individual, teams might outperform you. Teams can find a way to remove one individual.
‘When offences play as a team, a unit, and balanced, it makes it difficult to take away outstanding players. And I believe Trav has benefited from a number of terrific players on that offence, particularly recently. They’re playing excellent football.
Kelce has experienced moments like these over his 12 years with the Eagles. He won the Suρer Bowl in 2017 and faced his brother in last year’s finale. When asked how it felt to see a game of this significance from the stands rather than the field, he answered, ‘I’ve had my share on the fields and in the stands.
And there’s something wonderful about watching postseason football. There’s something bizarre about it. And everyone in the stadium and on the pitch understands that this is a one-and-done situation.
‘I can’t sаy enough good things about the Kansas City Chiefs, Pat Mahomes, and this team’s determination to succeed in a difficult atmosphere. This audience was into it. This crowd in Baltimore was incredible. They weathered it. They got through it. And they found a way to accomplish it against one of the NFL’s greatest defences, as well as the league’s likely MVP, Lamar Jackson.
‘It’s a remarkable endeavour to try and complete. But when you have me𝚗 like Andy Reid at the helm, all of their coaches and leaders up front, and Pat Mahomes, it’s genuinely a delight to see these teams succeed.
