On Sunday, February 11, there was a lot of tension following Jaylen Brown and Duncan Robinson’s excessive physical altercation. The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat were playing during the fourth quarter when Brown shoved Robinson to the ground when the Heat forward attempted to keep the top player off the ball. Robinson became enraged with Brown for what he had done, and the two players exchanged sharp words.
LegendZ Productions, an NBA content provider, posted a video of the audio of Brown and Robinson’s fight that had been leaked on Twitter. The content creator captioned the footage so that viewers could understand the words that the two players said with one another throughout the incident.
At the end of the play, Jaylen Brown was given a Flagrant Foul One for allegedly hurting Duncan Robinson. In addition, Brown received a technical foul for pushing Robinson. Robinson expressed his frustrations openly, yet no infractions were reported against him.
Recap of the Celtics vs. Heat game: Boston prevailed despite Jaylen Brown almost costing them the game.
Boston Celtics v Miami Heat
On Sunday night, the Boston Celtics battled to a hard-fought victory at the Kaseya Centre against the Miami Heat. With Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown leading the way, the Celtics won 110-106. Each of the three players had other strong numbers in addition to their 20+ points.
With a double-double performance that included 26 points and 10 rebounds, Tatum led the Celtics. He passed up nine assists and almost had a triple-double. Kristaps Porzingis, who almost recorded a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds, also played effectively. After swatting a few shots, Porzingis was equally effective on defence.
Jaylen Brown, on the other hand, almost recorded a double-double in the game, finishing with nine rebounds and 20 points. Still, he might have lost Boston the game after he got into a fight with Duncan Robinson and nearly got himself tossed from the game.
The Heat were able to maintain control of the game the entire way. With twenty-four points, five rebounds, and four assists, Tyler Herro had a strong performance. Then, Bam Adebayo added 22 points and 13 rebounds for his own double-double performance. Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, and Terry Rozier all stepped up to support Miami in their attempt to upset the top team in the East despite Jimmy Butler’s absence.
All that being said, considering how tight the game was, Brown’s possible dismissal may have changed the game’s momentum. The Boston Celtics, fortunately, made it through and extended their winning streak to four games.
