Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley is never hesitant to express his opinion, even if it may enrage an opponent. Beverley is always confident in himself, and he understands the impact he has on the game, even if his statistics do not stand out. This has been true wherever Beverley has gone, since he always finds a way to influence winning.
During a recent episode of his Pat Bev Podcast, Beverley criticized the defending champion Denver Nuggets, claiming he has had his way with them this season.
“I’ve been having my way with Denver this year,” Beverley admitted. “Belt to the ass…” I figured it out. When you play the champs, your blood boils a little. That’s how things go. You’ll get everyone’s finest punch if you’re the champions.”
Beverley, who was acquired by the Bucks in a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers, is hoping to help the team make a deep postseason run. The Bucks have struggled under new head coach Doc Rivers, but the arrival of Beverley, along with the even more recent signing of Danilo Gallinari, should provide much-needed depth.
The Nuggets might face Beverley and the Bucks in the NBA Finals. There are many teams in both conferences that have a legitimate shot at making the Finals, but the Nuggets and Bucks are unquestionably two of them. While Milwaukee has had some recent struggles, they have the talent to pose a threat to anyone in the league.
