Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets entered an exclusive company Thursday night, becoming only the third player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double against every team he has faced.
Jokic had 21 points, 19 rebounds, and 15 assists in the Nuggets’ 130-110 win over the Washington Wizards, joining LeBron James and Russell Westbrook in the elite club.
“After I finish my career, it’s a legacy and milestone,” Jokic went on to say. “I’m going to look back and I’m going to say that’s a really cool thing to do.”
Because James and Westbrook have played for different teams, they are the only players to have recorded triple-doubles against 30 teams. Jokic is 29, and that won’t change anytime soon.
Jokic also became the first NBA player to go 10-for-10 from the field while simultaneously recording at least 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a single game.
Jokic has 121 regular-season triple-doubles in 650 career games, ranking him fourth in NBA history. He is just behind Magic Johnson (138), Oscar Robertson (181), and Russell Westbrook (198) on the all-time record.
