Steph Curry electrifies NBA fans as the Warriors defeat LeBron James-less Lakers

On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were missing LeBron James (left ankle), but the Golden State Warriors did have Stephen Curry available.

And he was cooking.

The Dubs’ star scored 32 points and eight assists, including six three-pointers, as the Warriors handily defeated the Lakers, 128-110. Curry had 25 of those points at halftime.

Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points for Golden State, while Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks.

But Curry came out strong and had the Warriors rolling in the second half, and fans and critics on social media appreciated the display.

He served up another reminder on Thursday night, setting a new Warriors’ milestone.

It’s still February, but this was a significant win for the Warriors (28-26), who are now only a half-game behind the Lakers (30-27) for the Western Conference’s No. 9 spot. Both teams are presently seeded for the Play-In Tournament.

The Warriors not only have three games on the Lakers as both teams aim to climb the standings, but they have also tied the season series, with two more games to go.Golden State Warriors Scores, Stats and Highlights - ESPN

And don’t look now, but the Warriors have won nine out of their previous eleven games. The squad has gone 2-0 since adding Brandin Podziemski to the starting lineup. However, they will only go as far as Curry can take them.
